Our Volunteer Program offers passionate individuals the opportunity to contribute meaningfully to our mission while developing skills, building connections, and creating lasting change in our community and beyond.

As a volunteer, you'll work alongside dedicated staff and fellow volunteers to support ongoing programs, participate in special events, and assist with outreach, education, and hands-on activities.

What is included in the program fee

  • Airport transfers (Arrival & Departure)

  • Scientific lectures given by our scientific team

  • Training in field research methods (biopsies collection, photo-ID, size estimation, sex determination, telemetry)

  • Building a photo-ID catalog

  • Understanding how science informs management plans for endangered species

  • All field trip expenses (food, park fees & boat expenses whilst in the field)

What is not included in the program fee

  • Flights

  • Accomodation

  • Medical insurance

  • Food

  • Leisure activities on days off

Field trips are subject to weather conditions. Furthermore, while the presence of orcas in the Gulf of California is constant throughout the year, understandably, we cannot guarantee their presence. Consequently, the number of field trips is not guaranteed
